Rev. Dr. Francesca Debora Nuzzolese is a Professor of Practical Theology at the Facoltà Valdese di Teologia in Rome, with prior tenured roles in the United States and Australia. Her teaching and research focus on pastoral theology and psychology, pastoral care and counseling, trauma care, and preparing ministry practitioners for work in vulnerable contexts. Internationally, she speaks, coaches, and advocates on faith, mission, and social justice—especially addressing human trafficking, sex and labor exploitation, refugee care, and poverty-related vulnerability. Her work emphasizes relational, justice-oriented mission as accompaniment and resistance to dehumanization, and she has published widely, including Just Care (2012) and articles in multiple journals and edited volumes.
