Jocelyn Russell
Summer Service Team 2026
Jocelyn Russell is from Rockford, Michigan, and is a first-year student at the University of Michigan, where she is studying Biochemistry on the pre-med track. She has attended NWMC since birth with her older sister, Karys, and her parents, Matt and Karyll Russell.
Jocelyn is grateful and excited to be part of this year’s Summer Service team. Summer Service has been something she has hoped to participate in since her mother led the 2019 team to Ethiopia. The opportunity to travel to Kenya and experience Africa for herself makes this journey especially meaningful.
Through this trip, Jocelyn looks forward to learning about Kenyan culture, gaining a broader perspective on the world, growing in her faith, and connecting with God in new ways. She asks for prayers for an open mind and heart, as well as safety and good health for the team throughout their journey.
